Some recent examples of milestones in the UK:
May 2024: Acquisition SMS Towage. The broader presence in the UK is a further step towards strengthening Boluda Towage’s global network and connecting its activities in the UK. With its high-quality services, diverse fleet of tugs, and adaptable approach, Boluda Towage responds flexibly to its customers’ needs and the requirements of its business partners.
December 2023: Zhen Hua convoy to DP World London. In February 2024, DP World London Gateway welcomed Heavy Lift vessel ZHEN HUA 26, loaded with four new Gantry container cranes. Boluda Towage safely assisted the special transport on the River Thames and moored the vessel alongside London Gateway.
October 2023: Arrival Lucia B in Liverpool. The first call of Boluda Lines’ container ship, the 803 TEU-class ‘LUCIA B’ to the Port of Liverpool, United Kingdom in October 2023. Boluda Towage's tugs VB PHOENIX and VB ELBE welcomed ‘LUCIA B’ and assisted the vessel to its berthing place at Liverpool’s Royal Seaforth Container Terminal.
December 2021: Acquisition Caledonian Towage. The incorporation of Caledonian’s towage and marine operations will strengthen Boluda Towage’s position as a global leader in towage and sustainable maritime services, with additional presence in Scotland. Operating in the Cromarty Firth since 1969, Caledonian Towage has emerged as a major player in the towage and marine transportation business. The operation plays an integral part in the success of Cromarty Firth's reputation as a Premier Deep Water Port and the solid fleet is heavily engaged in a wide variety of towage and support activities.
