Boluda Towage safely assisted Zhen Hua 26 Convoy

In February 2024, DP World London Gateway welcomed Heavy Lift vessel ZHEN HUA 26, loaded with four new Gantry container cranes. Boluda Towage safely assisted the special transport on the River Thames and moored the vessel alongside London Gateway.

A smooth cooperation between all teams involved contributed to the successful handling of the convoy.

The new Gantry cranes are built tailor-made at the Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Company Limited (ZPMC) and are destined for the newly developed DP World London Gateway Berth Four. These will be the largest Gantry Quay cranes in Europe when fully installed and running. The cranes are part of DP World’s broader investment plan to build their services more efficiently and greener and to increase the current terminal capacity with Berth Four.

London is a key hub for international trade. Growing investment in its port operations also benefits the local economy. As a maritime service provider, Boluda Towage is an essential player and a vital part of the logistics and nautical chain, and it’s an honor for us to be part of London Gateway’s milestone.
