Boluda Towage welcomes Evergreen’s Ever Alot on its maiden trip to Europe

Boluda Towage had the honour to welcome the world’s largest container vessel, the 24,000 TEU-class “Ever Alot” of Evergreen Line, on its maiden voyage to the port of Rotterdam on Friday 12 August 2022.

The Boluda tugs 'VB Cheetah', ‘VB Tiger’, and 'Beagle' welcomed Ever Alot with a festive water display and safely assisted the vessel to ECT Delta Terminal.

We congratulate Evergreen on its new ‘green carrier’ delivered with a scrubber (exhaust gas cleaning system), which demonstrates the company’s commitment to sustainability and its long-term efforts in eco-friendly operations and environmental protection.

In June 2022, Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Group Co. (Hudong-Zhonghua), a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC), delivered the new containership to Taiwanese shipping company Evergreen Marine. The ship has a length of 400 m, a beam of 61.5 m, and a capacity of 24,000 TEU. This makes Ever Alot the largest container vessel in the world.

Ever Alot will continue her maiden voyage to other ports in Europe. Boluda Towage looks forward to welcoming the vessel there as well. We wish the ship and her crew fair winds and smooth seas.
